The project brings together growers and specialists in an informal international network. With the aim of increasing the cultivation and consumption of legumes, they share knowledge, experience and resources.
Established as part of the Berlin Global Field – 2000m2, the project is run by Zukunftsstiftung Landwirtschaft (Foundation on Future Farming) who I have worked with many times over the years.
In an age of climate crisis, the project looks at how legumes can help with soil diversity, resilience and food production. They do this by publishing papers on specific crops, publishing interviews with members and highlighting the global legume movement.
Summary
This was an exciting project that has kept on growing since it launched. It runs on WordPress as a platform and the content is built as multiple data types – for publications, recipes, galleries, competitions and show gardens.
The design and theme are custom built, while the colour scheme and visuals are based on pamphlets the project had already produced in order to keep continuity.
