The Praxis für Familiengesundheit is a medical practice focused on holistic family health. The website needed an update to better reflect the new design direction and to make it easier for patients to understand the services offered and find practical information such as contact details, opening hours and location. The brief was to rebuild the existing WordPress site while keeping the content familiar, but giving it a clearer structure and a calmer, more contemporary visual appearance that works well on both desktop and mobile.
The project was realised as a rebuild on WordPress, with the implementation of a new design and some structural improvements in the backend. A jobs custom post type was added so that vacancies can be managed centrally and displayed in a consistent way across the site. A new theme was built to implement the new design, with careful styling of typography, colours and spacing to keep the site readable and friendly. Existing content was reviewed and integrated into the new layout, so the practice team can continue to update pages themselves while benefiting from a cleaner, more flexible foundation.
Summary
The new design and functionality was a big improvement, resulting in a more modern, easy-to-maintain website that better supports the practice’s communication with patients. It was a project together with Docleads, where I provided the technical development.
